Fundación Empresa University Univerisdad de Alicante (FUNDEUN) and the University of Alicante (UA) organised the first Café ‘Connect and Solve: Environment and Renewable Energies’, which took place on 18th of June at the Museum of the University of Alicante.

Aiming at enhancing communications and exchanging ideas between the academic and industrial world, two groups with a common background in environment and renewable energy, researchers from the UA and companies in the region, were invited to the Café.. This Café was divided into two sessions. During the first session, reserachers and enterpreneurs had exactly 3 minutes to share their lines of research current technological development, on-going projects, concerns and obstacles encountered during their daily activities.,

Following that, the second session grouped the participants according to various thematic topics (energy efficiency, waste treatment, new biodegradable materials, discharges), which spurred the two different and yet similar worlds to establish dialogue and create synergies.
