2nd Austrian GADGET café in the context of the 5th Cleantech Innovators Club

Styria is a leading region for energy and environmental technology. There’s a reason for that. An active collaboration between industry and academia is constantly initiated and maintained to further develop green tip technology. The Cleantech Innovators Club, organized by ECO WORLD STYRIA, TU Graz and Styria IV, is its ignition spark generator. New research projects, numerous innovations, young talent and international guests made for inspiring thought experiments.

On April 25th, over 110 leaders from technology innovation and service companies, universities, colleges and centres visited the 5th Cleantech Innovators Club at the FH CAMPUS02 to learn about current research projects, to roll together ideas and initiate collaborations. By doing so, they actively create the Styrian innovation landscape.

The Lifelong Learning Project GADGET (Good Practice Pilot Action for Innovative Industries) with a focus on training for SMEs also used this opportunity to present its benefits to academia and business and was introduced by René Wenzel, FH JOANNEUM. As Dr. Erich Brugger, Director of FH CAMPUS02 emphasized, that this was "a very important platform for entrepreneurs in the energy and environmental sector to inform themselves about available knowledge and possible support services."

Moreover, high-level representatives of the Austrian Federal Ministries BMWFJ BMVIT life and ministry of the Climate and Energy Fund and the Research Promotion Agency FFG gave insight into Styrian innovation priorities by explaining the "The Future of Eco Tech".

All in all, the 2nd Austrian GADGET café was very successfully organised in the context of this major event, as the mix of research projects from different disciplines, industry news and exciting and inspiring discussions on so-called round tables allowed for a fruitful exchange of various participant the creation of new cooperation.
